Aachen WM Special

The World Equestrian Games will bring the world to Aachen - and us right into the middle of the action. From August 11 to 23, 2026, 650 athletes from 35 countries will come to Aachen. With a total of 800 horses, they will compete in six disciplines, cheered on by 500,000 visitors.

Let's bring the atmosphere of the show into the city center and welcome you all to the Aachen WEG Special! Whether culture, culinary delights or thrilling concerts: the supporting program for the FEI World Equestrian Games Aachen 2026 allows us all to experience the special atmosphere of the city.

In addition to events and concerts by renowned artists, there will be talks with the riders, art activities and plenty of space for a cozy get-together with Euregional specialties. If you can't be in the stadium, simply enjoy the event at the public viewing in the city.

And the city's museums will also be involved: The Suermondt-Ludwig-Museum will be showing a special exhibition entitled "The Horse in Art" from August 6th, the Centre Charlemagne - Neues Stadtmuseum Aachen - will be presenting a photo exhibition "All about the CHIO Aachen" in collaboration with the Aachen-Laurensberger Rennverein from May 16th to August 23rd, 2026 with spectacular, amusing and curious photos from the Aachen equestrian events of the last 100 years.

The program will be continuously updated here and information about the Aachen WEG Special will be shared.
